Try out for Voice Acting!When you are struggling to become a famous actor you have to start thinking outside of the box if you want to be successful. Not many people consider voice acting when they are trying to get their big break in the acting business, but there are tons of voice casting directors out there looking for someone to voice the parts in their projects. I auditioned for one and found that it was a really nice alternative to standing in front of a camera for the whole day. You just read your lines with the right tone of voice and emotion that the director is looking for and then you are done. It might take several takes to get it the right way but that is no different from any other type of acting. Now that I am a more established actor I still seek out these roles because I enjoy them so much.
Movie Extra Jobs don’t pay a lot and you won’t get a lot of screen time either. Many people avoid taking these jobs because of those reasons and many more. Something that you should consider with these jobs is that they are going to give you the experience you need to excel and add to your resume. The more experience you get from these jobs the more likely you are going to get your big break. The more people see you as an extra and have an idea of how well you act, the more likely they are to remember you next time they need someone for a part. Eventually you will find that you get the job of your dreams that you have been waiting for for a long time! It is always going to take a long time to get to the job you want and a lot of hard work, even for acting!
